It Looks Like Christmas At My House

Hi Everyone,
I've been doing some Christmas card making and some crafting. Here's my Mr. Snowman. Made using the SU Gift box punch board. He stands 12 inches tall. There are 4 boxes, leave them loose and each can hold candy or small gifts. Or you could glue them together. Thanks to Brenda Quintana for the great video for this project.

Until later, happy stamping.
     Merry Christmas

Birthday Card for Leah

Our youngest granddaughter Leah has turned 7.  I can hardly believe that much time has passed since I was holding that sweet little baby.  But time moves on and now she is growing into a beautiful little lady.  Here is the birthday card that I made for her.  She love everything to do with "Frozen".
I used punches, dies and even did a little free handed cutting for it all to come together.  She loved it and the money inside.
I'm starting to make my Christmas cards and tags.  Here are a couple I made using the new Stampin' Up! "Santa Stache" set.  It was fun to color using the new Blendabilities and cutting them out.

Let The Christmas Crafting Begin!

Using the Gift Bow Die from Stampin' Up! I made this Angel ornament for the tree.
I have a few other ideas for ornaments using this die.  Need to get busy!  Christmas will be here before we know it.

Halloween Spookies

Hi Everyone,
It's Halloween time and GeeGee has been busy making little ghost spookies for the granddaughters to take to their class.  36 pumpkins made and ready to fill with candy.  So much fun making these.  I use the new Curvy Keepsake Box Thinlit Die from Stampin' Up!, Pumpkin Pie cardstock and ink, and the new Fun Fall Framelit die and matching stamp set.
Next picture is my October Printers Tray.  My granddaughter Leah's birthday is October 25th and I put her picture in the display.
Until Later, Happy Stamping,

Holidays and Wedding

Hi Everyone,
Well the holidays are fast approaching and I've been working on some cards.  Also been working on a project for my son Robert's wedding in May.  First card is one I made using the Mojo Monday card sketch.
I used Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green and the new Trim the Tree DSP.  Using the new Festival of Trees stamps, matching punch and glitter paper I think it turned out pretty good.

I used Real Red,Whisper White, Old Oliver and Pear Pizzazz inks and card stock for my second card.  I did some 2-step stamping with the new Wondrous Wreath stamp set and matching framelit dies, added a greeting and I think it makes a simple and elegant Christmas card.  This card was CASED from Pinterest.

My next project is a little box I made for the rehearsal dinner for my son's wedding in May.  I used the new Curvy Keepsake box die and white vellum.  I stamped using the Label Love set, and silver embossed 2 butterflies from the set Papillon Potpourri.  Added a bow and a little silver thread for bling.  I am planning on putting some candy coated almonds in the box for everyone.
All products I used are Stampin' Up!

Fall

Here's another fall card I made using the new stamp set "Wondrous Wreath" and matching Framelits and "For All Things" stamp set in the SU Holiday Catalog.  I used the new In Colors - Tangelo Twist, Hello Honey, and Blackberry Bliss.  I also used some of the new "Color Me Autumn" DSP.  Such beautiful fall colors.
I pulled out my Label Collection Framelets for the backing, made a little banner and put it all together for a lovely autumn card.  The Wondrous Wreath stamp set is truly a 2 step stamping experience.  If you've never tried 2 step stamping Stampin' Up! has made it simple.  This set is one of the new photopolymer sets.  They have put little tabs on the bottom of each stamp making for easy line up and taking the guess work out of it.   I'm looking forward to using this set for many beautiful holiday cards.

Until next time, happy stamping,

Welcome Fall

I'm so needing the fall weather to get to Florida.  The sad news is that fall weather really doesn't get to Pensacola until the last of October.  A body can dream, Right?????

Here's a card that I cased from Dianne Sisneros at Stamp With Bee .   Using the new In Colors, Whisper White cardstock, Autumn Accents Die, a little burlap ribbon, linen thread and the crimper.  Put it all together and you've got a lovely autumn card.

Friendship Box

Here's a box I made using the Hamburger Die from SU.  I made this for a friend that was having surgery.  I put a box of mints in it because I know how dry your mouth can get after surgery.
I used some retired cardstock and designer paper from my stash.  I used the Spiral Flower die and made a rose, added a couple of leaves, a doilie and stamped a greeting.  I used some punches and put some gold bakers twine to finish it up.  So fun and easy to make.  A great idea for a little something for a friend.

Playing With New Stamps

Hello Everyone!
The big brown truck came the other day and left me with a load of new product to play with.

I have enjoyed playing with most of it and wanted to share one of the cards I've made so far.  I used the new "Holiday Home" set and made a really cute Halloween card.  Just look at those little ghosts.  Aren't they the cutest.  I love the new photopolymer stamps.  You can see right where to stamp your image.  I stamped the trees, leaves and bats on the cardstock, then used the matching framelits & my Big Shot to cut the house out and hand cut the pumpkins and ghost.  Used a few dimensionals, retired DSP, made a little banner and put it all together and it's ready for giving to a grandchild!   It's never to early to get started on your holiday cards and projects.  Right?????????

Kinda Eclectic

The new Kinda Eclectic stamp set from Stampin' Up! is one of my favorite new stamps.  There are so many ways to use it and plenty of CASE cards out there.  Here is a card I came up with using a technique of layering the image.  I cut my cardstock to different sizes, laid them on top of each other and stamped the images.  Then I cut other layers to go underneath.  I think the look is fun.  Hope you like it!
I might have gotten a little heavy handed with the leaf image, but then the butterflies like it. :)

July Paper Pumpkin

I'm loving the Paper Pumpkin kits.  They are getting better each month.  This month there are 6 regular cards and 6 little boxes.  You can do so much with these kits.  I wanted to show you some of the projects I made.  First I made 2 regular cards using the punched out letters WISH and the negative part of the word.

Then the box like the kit shows
Then I made 8 note cards using the elements of the kit plus a few other stamps.  I cut the top of another box off and made a holder for the note cards.

Notice how I used the top of the box for banners on these cards.  If you are interested in seeing what My Paper Pumpkin is all about you can go here and read all about it.  If you do join please make sure you use my name Neppie Hay when asked, so I get credit for it.  Right now they are having a special where you get your first 2 months @ half price.  Use promo code: HALFOFF2 and sign up by Wednesday, September 10, 2014, at 11:50 PM (MT).

A Book For Zay

I made a little baby book for a new cousin in the Hay family.  I used one of the retired spiral notebooks, a few retired and current stamps and the new Something for Baby stamp set and matching framelits.  I also used a few of the cards from the new Project Life collection to add just the right touch for a cute little baby boy book.

I placed photo mats and a place to journal on each page.  Plenty of room for the new Granny to tell the story of the first grandchild.

One More Card

Just one more card using elements of the June Paper Pumpkin kit.   I know, I know,  but I just love this kit.  So many great ideas!  I punched 1 inch squares out of a pinwheel and used the corner rounder on one corner of each.  I added Smoky Slate stars to each square and red and blue strips and ran it thru the Big Shot with the Houndstooth embossing folder.  I then added a little of the star garland from the November 13' kit.  I stamped "Celebrate" on a little banner and added a rhinestone for a little bling.

This is a picture of all the cards I've made using elements from the June kit and the great set "Work Of Art" which is a new set in the SU catalog this year.  The Flag cards were inspired from Pinterest and I added a firecracker I made using one of the straws from the kit.

New Hamburger Die Box

Hi everyone, it's been awhile since I last posted.  The new Stampin' Up! catalog is out and it has some really great new products.  One of my favorites is the new hamburger die box.  It's so cute and the ideas are endless.  The problem is putting it together.  I tried a few times before I found several great videos on how to put it together.  Here is a link that makes the box go together easy as 123.

Thanks for joining me today.
Until later, happy stamping.

Baskets For My Girls

My 3 granddaughters will be visited by the Easter Bunny tonight, but I always put together a little something for them from GeeGee and Papaw.  I usually make several crafty things, but this year I only got around to making one.  I got the idea for the little bunny box from Michelle Last .  I put a $5 bill in each, added a little candy, stickers, lip gloss and stuffed bunnies for the 2 younger ones and some blue nail polish for the oldest.  I think they will like it.  I hope, I hope!

I didn't do regular baskets, but found these cute little baskets they can use afterwards to put toys, or anything they like in them.

Easter Is Coming!!!!

Hi Everyone,  It's been a few weeks since I've posted any projects.  We've been on vacation and I'm busy with a wonderful bible study with the ladies of my church.  God is so good and we are learning all the different names of God.
Today I wanted to share my Easter Printers Tray with you.  I used all Stampin' Up! products.  Some retired but most are current.  The little bunny peeking around the corner in the middle was an idea I got from Karen Gibson on Pinterest.  The rest are things I came up with to fill in the sections.

Remember When

Wow!  It's been ages since I last posted.  Just busy I guess!   Here are a few picture from a few years back of my early work.  Don't laugh!  Some of them are not too bad.  The first is of my granddaughter Jordan in 2009.  She made this card and we entered it in a contest.  She didn't win, but she did a fantastic job, don't you think?
Next is a set of 4 cards and a gift box I put together for a lady from Iraq that came and spoke at our church.

Hope you enjoy looking at some of my early projects.

Card In A Box

I've been seeing a project online called "Card In A Box" and decided to try my hand at it.  I've made this card for my sister in-law that lost her husband a couple of weeks ago.  I used all Stampin' Up! products from the new Occasions, SAB and main catalogs.  Crisp Cantaloupe and Whisper White cardstock and Sweet Sorbet DSP.  Flower Shop, Petite Petals, Papillon Potpourri and Secret Garden stamp sets and matching punches and framlets.  Crisp Cantaloupe, Summer Starfruit, Pool Party and StazOn inks.  I added a little bling by adding some pearls and brads.  Thanks to all the stampers that have put videos out there to learn by.
Hope you like my project and will try your hand at it.  Here is a great link for learning.  Frenchie Stamps
