Bow Die Angel

I love the different uses for Stampin' Up! products.  The bow die was intended for making bows, but some clever person came up with lots of other uses.   Here is an angel that I made as an ornament.  I made about 20 of them and gave them to friends and family.

Here are a few of the Christmas cards I made this year.

A Few Christmas Projects

I have been busy with last minute cards and gifts.  Here are a couple of the cute projects I've been making for little gifts.  The first is a candy sled.  Easy to make with candy and a hot glue gun.

Just tie a ribbon and bow around it and you have a special little gift for a dirty Santa gift.   The second project is an elf shoe.  It holds Oreo's.  A hostess or the kids would love both of these, so if you need a last minute gift try these.

Merry Christmas,
Neppie (GeeGee)

2014 Desk Calendar Refills

Since Stampin' Up! didn't offer the refills for the 2014 desk calendar I decided to make my own.  I used mostly retired paper, punches, dies, accessories, a new 2014 calendar and I'm ready for the new year.

I hope you are enjoying the holidays as I am.  Be happy and spend time with your loved one.  Remember the reason for the season is our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Last Thanksgiving Post

This will be my last Thanksgiving post.  I made pie boxes and pilgram hats for my Thanksgiving table.  The ladies got the boxes and the guys got the hats.  I put candy in them plus hand sanitizer in the boxes for the ladies.  Everyone seemed to like them and the "candy".

Thanks to Connie Stewart over at Simply Simple Stamping  for the video of the pie box.  Connie has really great videos to share.  I hope that you all had a great Thanksgiving.  I know we did and are enjoying the weekend with leftovers and football.  Now on to Christmas and all the decorating and fun.  Remember that Jesus is the reason for the season.

Thanksgiving Cards

I've been busy lately making cards for Thanksgiving.  Here is a bunch that I've gotten ready to go tomorrow.

I used the Stampin' Up! Thankful Tablescape kit, Expressions Thinlits Die, Tags 4 You stamp and punch set, Circle Flip Thinlit Die,  Six sided punch and the new Envelope Punch Board.  I had lots of fun and now I'm gearing up for my Christmas Cards.  Happy Thanksgiving to you.  God bless you during this holiday season.

Holiday Project

I made this tree using the Birch Paper Ribbon from the Thankful Tablescape kit in the Stampin' Up! Holiday catalog.  I used the scalloped oval punch and straight pins to put together on a 14 inch styrofoam tree.  I then punched 2 gold glimmer paper stars and added to the top with a toothpick.  It took me about 2 hours to complete.  The hardest part was punching out the pieces.  The paper is very curly and hard to work with.  I had seen trees like this on Pinterest using regular designer paper and it made me think about using this paper.  Now I need to order another kit to have more paper on hand.  :)

Project Post

Wow! can you believe it's already the 16th of November?  Time is speeding away.  Christmas will be here before we know it.  I've been thinking about what to do with my Christmas decorating this year and I knew I wanted to make one of the curly wreaths that everyone is trying.  I used retired Stampin' Up! designer paper, ribbon and a snowflake die.  Really fun to make and beautiful to look at.

Thankful Tablescape Kit

I love all the kits that Stampin' Up! offers.  You can do so many things with them.  You can use them as intended or go crazy and make almost anything.  I've seen many cards, boxes, & tags made using this kit.  I've not seen a "Flip" card yet, so I decided to use the back flap to the napkin holder and try making a card using the new "Circle Flip Thinlit Die".  Here is my creation.  Hope you like it.  Everything to make this card is from the Thankful Tablescape Kit,  except a little Chocolate Chip Card stock.  I also used the "Tags for You" stamp set.

And here is an open shot. Plenty of room for writing a note to that special friend at Thanksgiving.

October Class

Here's a picture of one of the projects my ladies are making this month.  This idea came from Stampin' Up! "Founders Circle".  They put tags in theirs.  But I thought a goodie would be better.

Using the new Tag A Bag Gift Bags, a little red glitter paper, a little Season of Style DSP, a tea doilie, the new Christmas Collectable stamp set, and some ribbon.  Add a Little Debbie snack cake and you've got a cut little gift for a friend, teacher or a new customer.

Autumn Is Here!!!

I don't know about you but I love the Autumn time of year.  In Florida it's late October or early November before it really cools off, but you know it's on the way so it makes it nice.  I've seen several curly wreaths lately made using design paper so I thought I would try it.  I picked a retire paper from Stampin' Up! called Spice Cake from a couple of years ago.  I loved it then and I still love it so I decided to use it.  I must admit it's a little pale upside some of the other wreaths I've seen but I like it.  I also used More Mustard cardstock (retired too) and cut out oval shapes and embossed them and glued them together to make a pumpkin.  What do you think?

The picture really doesn't do it justice.  I think I will make one for Christmas with bright colors.  Thanks for stopping by to see what I've been doing.

Chat's August Tutorial

Last night was a great night for stamping.  I had taken a nap yesterday after church and didn't need to get up early this morning.  So I put ink to paper and made the August tutorial from Me, Myself and I   Chat sells the most wonderful tutorials on her site.  I'm always a little behind on getting them made, but I was excited to start on the September tutorial as soon as she sends them out so I needed to finish up the last tutorial.  I love having a box to hold all the cards that are in a set.  It makes it look so finished and adds just the right touch.  The box is from an earlier tutorial and I just keep using the pattern.  I always come up with my own design on the box that usually will match the cards.
The Crisp Cantaloupe and Calypso Coral colors go so well together.  Throw in a little Crumb Cake and Smoky Slate and you have a perfect gift set for a friend.  All the products you see are by Stampin' Up!  If you see anything you would like to order email me here and I would be more than happy to have it sent right to your front door.  The tutorial can be ordered from Chat and it is sent via email to you with a supply list of everything you need.

Until later, Happy Stamping,

Casing Is What I Do Best!

They say casing is the best form of flattery.  I'm very good at it too.  Thanks to so many talented stampers online you can make beautiful cards.  I want to thank Dawn and Sandy for some awesome ideas.  I used the "Gorgeous Grunge: and "Tape It" stamp sets and "Coastal Cabana" cardstock and ink to make this first card.
The second card I used my favorite stamp set "Flower Shop" with different shades of pinks and coral colors. I also used a little Washi Tape which is my new go to accessory.
I changed the cards up a little so I could call them my own, but the great ideas came from these two amazing stampers.  All the products you see here are Stampin' Up!   I can order all of these for you and have them shipped right to your front door. Email me here and I would be more than happy to place the order for you.

Summer Projects

It's been awhile since I posted and just want to let you know that I'm still around and stamping.  Here is a picture of the projects I've been working on for the past few months.  The ladies at my church have been meeting 2 times a month during the summer months to have some crafting and fellowship time with each other.  During this time we bring whatever we want to work on and just do it at our own pace.  I've been working on tutorials from Chat's "Me, My Stamps and I" website.  She has great ideas and they are very affordable

Each tutorial has 4 cards and a 3D project.  I have fallen in love with one particular box from a few months back and have used it every month since to hold the cards.  I just decorate the front to match the cards.  If you are looking for some great ideas go look at what Chat has to offer.  All products you see here are from
Stampin' Up!  If you see anything that you would like I can order it for you and have it sent right to your front door.   Email me and I will be more than happy to order it for you.

Joyful Christmas

Been playing with some of my new Stampin' Up! products from the holiday catalog. This card is made using the new Joyful Christmas stamp set. I embossed the images in silver on Vellum and then using my SU markers colored the back of the images in Real Red and Old Olive. I cut it out and added a Frosted Finishes Embellishment to add more bling. I mounted it on Whisper White and put all of that on Brushed Silver cardstock.
All products are Stampin' Up!  If there is anything you would like to order I would be more than happy to order it for you.  Email me and I will have it shipped to your front door.

Tape It

"Tape It" is a new stamp set from Stampin' Up! that has found a home with me.  I really like this set because it reminds me of Washi Tape which I have fallen in love with.  I made this birthday card for my son and I think it turned out pretty good.  I have trouble coming up with cards for men, but when I saw some examples using this set it just shouted "Manly" to me.

I used several colors that I thought were appropriate for a manly card.  I also used the new stamp set "Label Love" and matching punch.  We put a little money in the card and I'm sure my son was happy receiving the card and gift.   All products are from Stampin' Up! and can be shipped to your front door.  Just email here and I'll be glad to place the order for you.

You Can Never Have Enough!

I love the new "Perfect Blend" stamp set from Stampin' Up!  I love coffee in the cooler months, but have a problem drinking more than 2 cups.  I get a swimmy head.  So, I load it with great tasting creamer and enjoy.   Here is a cute card I made using "Perfect Blend".

Notice the coffee stains on the background.  I used a little jar.  I used the new "Sweater Weather DSP" in the holiday catalog that will go active August 1st.  I used the Delicate Doillies Sizzlits and inked the edges with Soft Suede.  I stamped the image 3 times on different sheets of DSP from Sweater Weather and cut out the pieces and put them together.  Paper piecing is a great way to get lots of color and texture in your cards.  I also used Tangerine Tango for the layer on top of Very Vanilla.   All products used are Stampin' Up! and I can order any on these for you.  Just email me here and I will order it for you and have it shipped to your front door.

I Can't Thank You Enough!

That's what the thank you card says that I made for a friend.  I used her new Stampin' Up! "Chalk Talk" stamp set and matching Framelits today and I wanted to tell her thank you.  I also used my new "Flower Shop" set and matching punch.  I think this is my all time favorite set.  I love the different flowers you can stamp and punch out.  I used the new 2013-2015 In Colors DSP, ink and cardstock.  I absolutely love the Crisp Cantaloupe.  I put it all together on a base of Crumb Cake and sprayed a little Champagne Mist to add some shimmer.

All the products that you see here are Stampin' Up! If there is anything that you would like to get just email me here!  I would be glad to order them for you and have it sent directly to your home.

Summer Printers Tray

I finally got around to making my summer printers tray layout.  I used the new Stampin' Up! Gingham Garden DSP, Secret Garden, Feel Goods and Hearts of Flutter stamp sets, some bling and retired ribbon, punches and big shot letter dies.  If you look close you will see on the bottom left I have the word US.  I printed all of our names and cut and glued them to the DSP.  I even included our pets because they are part of the family.
If you are interested in any of these products just email me at rhay@panhandle.rr.com  and I would be glad to place an order for you.

Chickens Have Finally Come To Roost!

After 11 years of asking for a chicken coop and chickens my wonderful husband built me a coop and got me 10 chickens.  I'm so excited and can't wait to get the first eggs.  Ronnie and son Robert did a fantastic job on the coop. They still need to finish painting the front, but I think they did a great job.

Tater Time!

Ronnie and I worked on our new potatoes yesterday and we ended up with about 80 lbs. from 2 rows.  We have 3 more rows.  Ronnie dug with help from the girls, he peeled and I blanched and put in freezer bags.  We had 15 half gallon bags when we stopped for the day.  We like the smaller red potatoes, but sometimes they grow larger.  There's really no way to prevent that so we just cut them into smaller pieces.

Here's a picture of the first bucket full.  The best time to can or freeze vegetables are as soon as they are picked.  We figure it took us about 2 hours a bucket from ground to freezer.  You can't get much fresher than that.

We are planning to work on more tomorrow.  Of course I will save some for fresh eating now.
Until later,

Garden Time

It's that time of year again when we start picking fresh veggies from our garden.  Ronnie works so hard each year plowing, planting and tending and he's so proud when we start eating out of the garden.  Here is a picture of our first new potatoes he dug this afternoon for supper.  Do you know when the potatoes are ready?  It's when the plant that has grown out of the earth dies and turns brown.  He dug up 3 dead plants and got a full gallon bucket full.  There is still 79 more plants to dig.  I think we will have a bummer crop again this.  I wash and cut in half.  Melt a stick of butter in a pan and put the potatoes in the butter with a little salt and steam them about 20-25 minutes.  They are so good.
I noticed we also have tiny squash, greenbean, peppers and tomatoes too.  It won't be long before I will be canning and enjoying all the goodness.
Until later,

Garden At GeeGee's House

It's been ages since I last posted.  I'm having some problems getting my Mojo back after my surgeries and run in with blood clots, but hopefully I'm back on the mend and the Mojo will return.   Here's a card I made using the DSP from the April Paper Pumpkin kit.  I was not impressed with the stamps but I love the paper.  I took my "Secret Garden" stamp set and Framelits and stamped and die cut the flowers out of the top layer of DSP and So Saffron cardstock.  I stamped the 2 butterflies using "Papillon Potpourri" stamp set on So Saffron CS and used the butterfly punches.  I also used a new stamp called "A Round Array" and the new 7/8" scalloped circle punch.  I added some bling with rhinestones to each flower center. All the stamp sets and punches I used in this card are offered in the Spring Catalog (now until May 31st) or new 2013-2014 Catalog coming out June 1st.  If you are interested in getting any of the catalogs just email me here

That's it for today.  Until later, happy stamping.

Inspired By Nature

Being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator I try to always have the newest products for my customers.  However, I keep some of the retired stamp set that I fall in love with to use at a later time.  Inspired By Nature is one of my all time favorite sets.  My ladies made cards using this set last year before it retired.  This card is made using a sponge dauber with inks.  It gave it a soft look that adds so much to this card.  Sincere Salutation, another retired set was used for the greeting.  Marina Mist and Daffodil Delight go together so well.

Heading to Birmingham tomorrow for my kidney surgery.  Hope to post again soon.

Another Valentine Post

Do you take pictures of your projects?  I do!  Not because I think my projects are the best but to help me remember what I've made and see my progress over the years.   I look at some of my first cards and see how my work as changed.  Here is a picture of some of the guy Valentine cards I made last week.  I find it a challenge to make a masculine card.  So when I do come up with an idea I feel I have accomplished something.
I used Very Vanilla, Basic Gray, Gumball Green and Crumb Cake cardstock.  I used several different designer paper pieces and punches.  If you are interested in any of the Stampin' Up! products I've used email me here and I will place the order for you and Stampin' Up! will ship it right to your front door.

Valentine's Day At GeeGee's

We had a good time last night at GeeGee's house.  We had a nice dinner and the girls and guys opened goodie bags and cards.  The girls had taken their Valentine projects to school for their friends.  Christina was missing because of nursing school but Michael sat down and made her a card and all was right with the world at the Hay house.

Hope your Valentine's Day was as happy as mine.

Valentine Cards

I've been working on Valentine goodies for my Granddaughters and today I made my oldest Granddaughter a cute Kiss card.  I used the Blossom Petals Builder punch to make the Kisses and typed out the words Kiss for the little paper always at the top.  I used the Silver and Red Glimmer Paper.  A little Pretty In Pink ink painted on some of the Silver Glimmer paper made a cute pink kiss.  I made the card using Basic Gray, Real Red and paper from the More Amore DSP pack.   Teeny Tiny Wishes, Word Window punch and Modern Label punch were used to make the greeting.

If are interested in any of the products I have used today and would like to order them just email me here and I can order it for you and have it shipped directly to your front door.

Border Scoring Plate

Stampin' Up! continues to amaze me with new products to make cards and scrapbooking more fun.  In the new Spring Catalog SU is offering an awesome border scoring plate that fits nicely on the Simply Score scoring tool.  Here is a card I made using the new scoring plate and Stippled Blossoms stamp set.  If you look to the top and bottom of the stamped images you will see the scallop and dot border.  It adds so much to the card without making it overly decorated.
I also added the same border to the inside to add just the right touch to complete this lovely card.  I used Pretty In Pink, Primrose Petals, Lucky Limeade and Old Olive inks and cardstock.  I also use the Word Window, Modern Label, and Itty Bitty Shapes punches.  If you are interested in any of these products just email me here   and I will be happy to place the order for you.  Stampin' Up! will ship directly to your front door and you can start making beautiful cards.

Constant Companion

Hello and Happy New Year 2013.  Wow, it will take me several weeks to get use to saying and writing 2013.  The holidays are over and it's time to start the new year off right.  The Granddaughters have returned to school as of today and I feel like the holiday are really over.  What are your plans for the new year?  Mine are getting my surgery out of the way and starting my Stampin' Up! classes back up.  I pray that this new year will be a blessed one for you and yours.  I wanted to share a picture of my constant companion these days.  Thelma is either sitting on my desk next to the computer or she is in the chair next to me.  She is the most affectionate cat I've ever had.
